Timeless Truth

Two weeks ago, on Father’s Day, as a part of my message on parenting, I included a five minute video clip of my Father speaking at a church in New Orleans.  That service was about two weeks before his death on November 6, 1979.

As I watched that clip, I couldn’t help but notice how different the people looked.  The way they were dressed, the haircuts for the guys and the way the girls fixed their hair, was so different than those things are now.

Beautiful Savior - Death, The Horses are Coming

A couple of months ago, I received a call about a musical family, who had performed at the church many years ago.  They had moved to Nashville and started a recording studio there.  The gentleman was an incredible songwriter and producer in the Christian music world, and had done very well.

Beautiful Savior - STRENGTH

When we find Christ our whole life changes.  Our beautiful savior makes us into a brand new creation.  But my husband gave me a wonderful book by Chuck Missler called, "The Kingdom, Power, and Glory."   It opened up a whole new insight on what happens at salvation.

What happens to our hearts when we are born again?   There are three words that each represents some aspect of God's  Resurrection Power.

Beautiful Savior - Door of Hope

Our Beautiful Savior opens a new door for us as His children.  He actually calls it a door of Hope! And then He gives us a Fresh Start!

What I want to write about today is out of an incredible book of the Bible depicting what people today would call a totally backwards love story.  We live in a world today awash with love stories, and to so many a distorted picture of love.

Beautiful Savior - Eternity in Christ

When I think about eternity I know it is forever with no beginning and no ending,  it boggles my mind.

I heard somebody saying about someone,  "He has Eternity in His voice!  What doesthat mean?  Then I read Ecclesiastes 3:11.  "He has made everything beautiful in it's time. Also He has put Eternity into a man's heart."

As I thought about this I realized that God has put Eternity into every person.  It's His stamp on our lives.  We will all live forever somewhere....somewhere!

Beautiful Savior

I know so many people are praying for loved ones who don't know Jesus and we know God has promised them to us. families are the closest thing on earth to the heart of the father. God wanted the name of everyhead of the house and his family in the gate of the tabernacle.  The silver sockets, which held the veil of the temple, were made out of

My Feet Were Made For Walking Part 4

Mother’s Day was filled with the smells of Goodwood Bar b Que, wet dogs, wet kids and chlorine, flowers, and the sweet fraquence of our church family worship.  My emotional tank got a good filling.  I believe in the church, flawed as sometimes it may seem (because I am in the church).  It is God’s desire to see us, the church, come together regularly.  At the end of the day Ted and I said to each other,

My Feet Were Made For Walking Part 3

Following this word from the Lord is like hiking on an old trail.  It has become overgrown, it is rough with rugged stones, and large tree roots make the walk seemingly unsafe. It is a rough trail and I would rather go another route.  I like to walk the path of God wants me happy.  I like the contemporary path that allows me to send the relevancy of God’s Word back to the ‘old days’ but I can’t.

My Feet Were Made For Walking Part 2

The girls and I have talked about hiking in several of the Idaho mountain ranges this summer. Isaiah 52:7 says, How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”  It would be so fun as we reach the top to hold up a banner that says, GOOD NEWS!!!!   GOD REIGNS!!!!
