Kings Kids, K - 6th Awards Assembly Dec/Jan

Kings Kids is our once a month awards assembly where we honor students that have shown exemplary performance in the areas of academics, as well as demonstrating characteristics related to the monthly Character traits focus for the student body. This month we are combining our December and January Kings Kids awards for one assembly.

The month of December's focus is OBEDIENCE

The month of January's focus is INITIATIVE

Each of you should look not only to your own interest, but also to the interests of others

DECEMBER - OBEDIENCE

Obedience is trusting those who lead you by doing what you're asked to do.

Jonah 1-3 - Perfect Storm (Story of Jonah)

It's always better to do what God says the first time.

Ephesians 6:1-3 - House Rules (Children, obey your father and mother)

How I obey my parents shows what I think about God.

1 Samuel 3:1-19 - Sleepless in the Temple (The Lord calls Samuel)

Obeying your leaders can help you know God.

IT'S RIGHT TO LISTEN TO GOD BECAUSE HE IS GOD

JANUARY - INITIATIVE

Initiative is seeing what needs to be done and doing it.

When you stand for what is right, you show others who God is.

If you want to know God better, talk to him

Matthew 16:13-17 - Talk It Over (Peter states who Jesus is)

If you want to know God better, talk about him with your friends.

Mark 12:41-44 - Let it All Go (the Widow's mite)

If you want to know God better, Make Him more important than anything.

All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thorourghly equipped for every good work.

Last Day of School

The 2018/2019 school year has come to a close. We are very proud of our students and all that they accomplished this year. We know that God will do wonderful things in the lives of these students as they continue on in their academic journey as well as their in their lives. 

This also marks the end of the 4th quarter and Report Cards will be sent home with students today.

ZOO Field Trip

Lions, and Tigers and Monkeys? Our favorite little monkeys, the first, second, and third grades, are going to the Zoo! We will be leaving the school at 10:15am and returning at 3pm.

We will stop in the park and eat our lunch and play for a  bit before heading into the zoo for the afternoon. We look forward to a wonderful celebration of God's creation and the finish to an amazing year for our students. Every one of them excelled and worked hard this year and we are so proud of them.
