I AM CONVINCED that there is a love that can penetrate ANY wall. A love that isn't reserved for the elite or those who are "good enough". It's a love that embraces when it's spit on. It's a love that washes the feet of it's betrayer. It's a love that mends the wounds of someone who shunned it from society. It's a love that looks past the appearance and actions of a person and calls out into their souls, awakening them to their true identity - It looks upon man's sin as one looks upon a cave full of dead bodies and says,"roll away the stone, take off those grave clothes and ARISE from your slumber and into your potential!" It's a love that peers down onto the ones who crucified it and says, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they're doing". It's a love that found me and never stops pursuing me. It's a love I don't have to be good enough to obtain. It's a love that wipes my tears, lifts my head and removes my shame. It's not a fair tale, its the real deal. His love is more than enough for us and it's all we need to give this world. We who were bought with love are called to love. Our question isn't who should we love and who should we hate. If we hate the ones God created, then how can we say we love God and have been born again in Him? Love is more than words. The weight of our words never come close to the weight of our steps. The greatest sermons Jesus ever preached were seen with eyes instead of heard with ears.
Now the Festival of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was approaching, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some way to get rid of Jesus, for they were afraid of the people. Then Satan entered Judas, called Iscariot, one of the Twelve. And Judas went to the chief priests and the officers of the temple guard and discussed with them how he might betray Jesus. They were delighted and agreed to give him money. He consented, and watched for an opportunity to hand Jesus over to them when no crowd was present. Luke 22:1-6
I think it's interesting that Luke writes that Satan entered Judas and then he went to scheme of how he was going to betray Jesus... If we are to be called sons and daughters of God and to step out on the front lines of His army, we must identify who we are fighting. There is too much slander towards man and not enough prayer taking place to silence the REAL enemy influencing the world. Yeah, there is an enemy and it's not flesh and blood (Eph 6:12). The sooner we figure out who our enemy is, the sooner we can start defeating him and stop wounding God's created. The government isn't the enemy, mormons are not the enemy, muslims, homosexuals, prostitutes and thieves are not the ones to hone our slander and mockery towards. Whatever we do unto these, we do unto Jesus. B0Om! (That was the Bomb) This is not a soapbox, this is the WORD of God and if we miss this we will miss out on why we've been placed on this earth.
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matt 25:31-40
Jesus modeled this love as he gets down on His knees and washes the feet of Judas, knowing full well that Judas had already planned and schemed to betray him. It's easy for us to sit back and clap our hands at this love and say "you know this is good, but this is just what Jesus was called to do..." NO, you and I are not only called to this love, but the Spirit of Christ inside of us will enable us to love ANYONE. I'M CONVINCED, If His spirit can love the hands of those who nailed his to the cross, I'm convinced that we who were bought by THAT LOVE will see that that love lives in us. It's the love that this world is drawn to and needs and it's the same love that we were born to have and to give from this day forward.
