It ain't over till He says it's over

Daily Bible CoverHey church! Today is the 13th of March and I was stoked to read how God once again wanted Joshua to “march” in this 13th chapter. Joshua 13:1 “When Joshua was old and advanced in years the Lord said to him, ‘You are very old and there are still very large areas of land to be taken over’...”

Although, to some this verse may seem insignificant, I love it. 1st I love the fact that God called Joshua very old... I don't know if Joshua enjoyed it but God isn't one to pick a fight with haha. I believe that the Lord delights so much in going against the grain. He takes GREAT JOY in upsetting the norm and shattering the statistics. In fact the wisdom of this present world is FOOLISHNESS to Him! Haha, He will do what He wants. He will say what He wants and it WILL happen. Who can stand up to His declarations? Who can oppose His desires? O’ man is but a breath and his wisdom is limited in comparison to the unshakable, irrefutable ways of the Lord. Stop trying to logic Him out. Stop trying to figure Him and His ways out with your understanding. Simply yield to Him and will He not accomplish His desires in you and through you? No man can understand the ways of God unless the Holy Spirit comes and makes His ways known. The plans of the Lord will stand firm forever!

God tells Joshua, although He was “very old and advanced in years”, that He still desires to use him. IT AIN'T OVER TILL HE SAYS IT’S OVER! I don’t care if I’m only 23, I take this word for myself. I desire to be used of God till I breathe my last. In fact It’s God’s will not only for me but for you! If you say your too weak then His strength will be seen all the more. If you lack the ability to do what He’s called you to do its simply so He can be given the glory He deserves. Today God is not only speaking to the “advanced in years” but He’s also speaking to the “young” the one’s who are “unable to speak”. He is no respecter of generations. The younger generation will say they don’t need the older and the older generations will look down on the youth but the Lord’s will is to pour out His Spirit on “all flesh”. “...your young men will see visions and your old men will dream, dreams...”(Joel 2:28) Who has the right to say who He can and can't use? And who is daring enough to say when He can and can't accomplish what He desires? He will use whoever is willing to be used at whatever time He desires. ANY TIME. ANY PLACE. ANY PERSON. It ain't over till He says it's over.

Today the Lord says there is still land to be taken over! He will keep His promises. Even Caleb reminds Joshua about what the Lord had promised Him through Moses 45 years ago in Josh. 14:6-15. The Lord has not forgotten His promises. He is faithful!! Caleb, who followed the Lord wholeheartedly, received what He had promised and I love what He says in Josh. 14: 11+12, “I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then. Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as He said.” What a boss, I love it! O' that we would still believe that He can and desires to use us regardless of our sinful past, regardless of our limitations and regardless of our logic.

Today God has remembered His promises. He is worthy of all of our trust. He will not fail us! Why do we only give Him a portion of the praise He deserves. Let all the generations find rest in Him today. He will enable you to take over the land He has promised you. Arise and put your trust in Him for He is ABLE! Amen!
