This week pastor Ted skips over the second law of balance, which we will look at in more detail next week, and looks at the third law of balance. The third law says this: You have to know what it is that you want to do. You have to have a clear objective. The question that pastor challenged us is one that has the potential to revolutionize the way that we see, use, think about, and manage our finances and stuff. That question is, "What is the one thing, the grid, that I should run all my finances through?" God answers this question clearly in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. The problem is that we get it all wrong when we think about what God wants from us in regards to our finances and our stuff. God doesn't want something from us He wants something for us. Our objective should be to honor God with everything that we have and everything that we do.
My Next Step Today Is:
- I will memorize 1 Chronicles 29:12
- I will surrender everything I have, my wealth, my income, my stuff, my savings, my retirement; I will surrender it all to God.
- I will ask God to show me how I can honor Him with everything I have.
- I will make an effort to invite at least one person to church next Sunday.
