Daily Bible CoverIt is so exciting to be on such an incredible God directed adventure for all of us at Central Assembly.  I love the theme that our time here is so much more than a moment, but it's eternal. Just like reading the Bible in 365 is eternal as we share our thoughts with one another.  We have the privilege of walking hand in hand with our Father God on a journey just like Abraham and Sarah.  We aren't sure where He is leading us but He is and He does know where He is taking us!

The part in our reading this week that struck me was in Ezk. 39:25-29.  It talks about      Restoration of Spirit.  Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:  "I will now restore the fortunes of Jacob and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name."  Then we go down to the last sentence,"I will pour out my spirit!"

In my wonderful Thomas Nelson Commentary it says this about this verse in Ezk., "My glory among the nations!"  Ezekiel followed the great theme of biblical theology begun in Gen. 12:3 that the ultimate purpose of God in his choice of Abraham and Sarah was to make his blessings known to all the families of the earth.  God will demonstrate His glory both among the nations and among His chosen people Israel.

Because we have accepted Christ into our lives, we are all chosen by Him and we are assured of the Glory Road in all of our lives!  We are walkin' it with Him!  Isn't that wonderful!  There's a chorus that we used to sing that ends like this .  I'm just walkin' in faith and victory, come on and walk in faith and victory, cause the Lord our God is with me!

No matter what trial is going on in our lives, we're not walking down just any road, We're walkin' the Glory Road with our Father.  It's time to stand up and shout right here, right now while you are reading this and say Thank God almighty, I'm walkin' the Glory Road with Him.  Praise The Lord.

We'll I'm excited about Heart To Heart beginning Tuesday, September 10 at 10:00 in the chapel.  If you haven't ordered the two books yet, we have a couple of extra sets ordered.  It is so fun to study God's word together.  I need several ladies to volunteer to help set up the coffee about 9:00.  I am not supposed to lift or push or bend.  Call the church at 376-7272 if you can help.
