This week Pastor Ryan's sermon reminded us that God sent his son to establish HIS kingdom. When Christ came he turned the tables on what conventional wisdom said the Kingdom of God was going to look like and how it was going to come about. It is in understanding this that helps us to understand what our role in the Kingdom is all about. Jesus taught us to pray: "Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven..." The challenge we face as Christians in the world today is whether or not we are going to build our kingdoms and operate from out agenda or whether we will submit and seek to see His agenda and His Kingdom come in our hearts, workplace, school, homes, families and marriages.
My Next Step Today Is:
- I will read Matthew 5-7 and memorize 6:9-15.
- I will give up my agenda and my kingdom plan and trust my life to the kingdom vision/agenda of Jesus Christ
- I will focus on praying that God’s kingdom come in my life, realizing that I am not asking God for something but offering him something.
- I will begin praying for and inviting people to Illuminate. (outreach event)
