(This message is Part 2 to the message spoke two weeks ago; Create In Me..)
In the first chapter of Colossians Paul makes a statement that if left to itself begs a very important question. v.9-10 says this:
" And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord..."
The question we have to ask is, "what does it mean to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord?
Like trees we have to make sure that our root system is strong and deep so that we can grow and live tall in the purpose and plan that God has for us and our lives. If we fail to nourish ourselves on the things that will last we will be like a withering tree that is pushed over at the slightest of storms. But even still we have hope! Even if we are a dried up stump there is still opportunity for us to flourish.

Job 14:7-9 - "For there is hope for a tree, when it is cut down, that it will sprout again, and its shoots will not fail. Though its roots grow old in the ground and its stump dies in the dry soil, At the scent of water it will flourish and put forth sprigs like a plant."
God wants your life to be one that flourishes. Are you planted in such a way to see deep growth?
