It is never to late for God to work. Many of us have needed help and felt hopeless just as Jaris was when his sick daughter has died. He came running to Jesus for help and even though his story on the surface at that point looked hopeless and seemed to be over. God had other plans. The story did not end there. There was still healing and health to be had and the reminder that it is never to late for God to work.
