- History -

CityHope Church has a rich and lengthy history in the Treasure Valley. Formerly Central Assembly Christian Life Center, and originally Bethel Assembly of God, it has been a part of the Boise community since 1948. The first building owned by the congregation was located at 21st and Alturas Streets in downtown Boise. From there, in 1957, we moved to a new building at 222 N. Latah. In the fall of 1973,  we moved again to what would be our campus for more than 40 years, on the corner of Fairview and Cloverdale, where the ministries of Maranatha Christian School / Pre-School and Operation Love Center (our food bank) were both birthed. (Now CityHope Christian Schools and CityHope Food Pantry respectively) In 2014, we sold our campus on Fairview and Cloverdale, and in the winter of 2015, we changed our name to CityHope Church and and purchased our current campus at 8650 West Fairview Avenue, Boise, ID 83704, which has allowed our ministry campus to become debt-free as we continue to pursue God's calling to bring Hope to our friends, family and neighbors through the message of Jesus Christ.
